Move the Needle with Happy People! You’ve heard of “happy wife, happy life,” but what about “happy employees, happy nonprofit”?!

Please join Adam Bratton, Executive Director with The Nonprofit Partnership, Charles Walczak, Chief Executive Officer with Erie Homes for Children and Adults (EHCA), and Penny Bebko, Director of Human Resources with EHCA for a workshop focused on the backbone of a nonprofit organization - its employees!

When? Tuesday, March 3rd from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Where? The Nonprofit Partnership’s offices at The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Transformational Philanthropy at 609 Walnut St., Erie, PA 16502… behind our friends at The Erie Community Foundation!

We're discussing this topic because: it's a common math equation (don't cite us on this!):

Happy employee = higher engagement = better work ethic and output = more impact on mission = EVERYONE IS BETTER OFF! = rainbows and sunshine

Now, that's some high-level arithmetic!

Data shows that employee engagement and retention translate into a more effective workforce and a stronger bottom line. And as if that weren’t enough, creating a positive working environment is the right thing to do, especially in the nonprofit sector where our people are our greatest resource. Join us as we explore EHCA’s efforts to create a “Best Place to Work”’ culture.

Attendees will:

  1. Understand how a positive workplace culture can help nonprofits advance their programmatic and financial efforts.
  2. Learn from a case study in how EHCA intentionally invests in the development of their workforce.
  3. Engage in a discussion with peers about how employee engagement and investment can be replicated in any agency, regardless of mission focus, size, funding, etc.
