It's time for Social Media 2020! Join us on: Tuesday, February 25th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Nonprofit Partnership’s offices at The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Transformational Philanthropy – 609 Walnut St., Erie, PA 16502… behind “the nut”!
Our presenter is: the wonderful Joelyn Bush, of course. Joelyn is the
Master Director of Marketing & Communications with United Way of Erie County. On top of killin’ it with United Way, Joelyn is also the President of our local Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) chapter (among one million other appointments and duties). Learn more about her by clicking here.
We’re discussing this topic because: social media is always changing! You just mastered Google+ but -- surprise! -- Google+ is dead. Oh – you’re a pro at Myspace? Think again! It’s the world of Facebook Live now – move over, Top 8.
As nonprofit marketing professionals (or employees fulfilling “other duties as assigned”) it is our responsibility to pay attention and to adapt our communications as needed. Often, there isn’t time to keep up with the evolving world of social media (you’re busy writing that grant, meeting with 19,328,294 volunteers, etc.) – let Joelyn bring the pertinent information to you!
You will learn: a lot! But, more specifically –
- Participants will become aware of the latest social media trends, including practical ways to increase engagement/usage.
- Participants will learn tips and tools to utilize new features of social media channels and digital resources they may not have tried before.
- Participants will reflect on how they leverage social media to grow both audience and engagement.
This event is geared towards: marketing-communication professionals managing social media accounts for their organizations.
The level of learning for this workshop is: intermediate.
Please bring a "brag piece" to this workshop. A "brag piece" is something that you have created for social media that you are proud of and that had high engagement/attention. We are looking forward to seeing you!
