Please join The Nonprofit Partnership along with Jonathan Rilling, Vice President of Marketing, Advancement, & Communications with Erie Homes for Children and Adults and Ted Wood, President with Ted Wood & Associates for “Making the Ask” on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.

Jonathan and Ted will discuss the ins and outs of soliciting major gifts. Their presentation will be informed by both best practices and real-world examples.

Learning objectives for this session include:

  1. Attendees will learn the steps involved in the solicitation process, from planning to execution, and what it takes to be as prepared as possible before making the ask.
  2. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the asking process by taking part in a role playing scenario.
  3. Attendees will learn about real life asking case studies and gain takeaways to use during preparation and gift solicitation.

The level of learning for this session is intermediate.

This workshop is appropriate for entry level to intermediate Executive Directors, Directors of Development, & staff charged with fundraising functions.

Millard Fuller, the founder and former president of Habitat for Humanity, once said, “I have tried raising money by asking for it, and by not asking for it. I always got more by asking for it.” Let Jonathan and Ted help you raise more dollars by improving your ask!
